Theme in 1984

The theme in my perspective of 1984 is that dictatorship has the power to rule societies minds. This theme exist because for instance, in the book they use double think and use slogans to manipulate minds. For double think in the novel 1984 its states that, "We control matter because we control the mind. Reality is inside the skull." Part 3, Chapter 3, pg. 268. This states that no matter what individuals think and have any sense of being agaisnt the party, The party will contradict them and punish them. Next is "WAR IS PEACE FREEDOM IS SLAVERY IGNORANCE IS STRENGTH." Part 1, Chapter 1, pg. 6. This states that since the supreme power calls the shots, no matter what others will follow because they are scared to be killed. This shows that dictatorship can rule societies minds and that what ever the dictators say they people will follow due to fear of being tortured.

All about love bell hooks

Bell hooks inspiring insight about love was relevant and really true. The chapter thats most important is romantic love.because it has everything from true love to how to love the right way. People forget romantic love and what love is.

Type

What type means to me is basically, what is my type. My type or say interest, things that i have a passion for.
Major for my type that i got a high score on was socials. Majors relating that i liked where

• Nurse
• Air traffic controller
• Probation officer
• occupational therapist
• dietician
• phyisician assistant
• child welfare worker.

My results that i expected where awsome, i knew i was going to get a high score on socials or art, but the careers that they gave me wher pretty cool. This truly connected to what i had in mind, but this gave me other options that if i grow out to not liking nursing i have other awsome career routes. If i had no clue of this activity, this will forsurly give me hope and give me potential options.

My hero to me!

What makes your hero a *hero* to *you*? How does this individual compare and contrast to the heroes we have studied? 

The hero that i came to realize. Sorry for being to religious, but i think its my main homie Jesus Christ.
I think hes an individual that went through a heroes journey. Just as Edward Bloom in the movie Big Fish. Edward   knew that he was going to die from the lady with one eye. Just as Jesus did, he knew he was going to die from a two angels that showed him a cross and 3 nails. and jesus was a little boy then so its very hard to accept it at this young age. But Jesus accepted it and went on his journey.
In the movie real life super heroes, Mr. Extreme and all his other team mates. Took off drug dealers of the streets, gave charity to kids, and gave food and drinks to the needy. They also helped sick people on the streets.
I can relate this to Jesus. Jesus had followers too, the 12 disciples. They went out to many roads and went to many places with Jesus healing sick people, curing blind people, and also giving justice to the needy. Jesus made everyone feel equal and loved. Last what i can relate jesus also had mentors and guardians, which where God, his mother Mary, and his father Joseph. Just as in the movie Big Fish.

Jesus also had had a Goddess, but whats cool was it wasnt a female or an individual, it was actually us. He fell in love us like me and infinity generations. Another part of jesus life is he too went through road of trials, which where 1 when jesus gets betrayed, 2 when people are skeptical and thinking that he is not God (blasphemy), 3 his disciples forget about him because they dont want to die. Last his atonement, when jesus finaly gets crucified and accepts his death that his life was really for God and trusted God no matter what. Then the transformation is Jesus spirit goes to heaven  So there's many more i can relate, but i think Jesus life is cool

I've chosen these blogs because I feel that the information will come in handy on my journey to becoming a nurse in the future. Especially with up-to-date news with situations with the economy right now.

I've chosen a college blog because i want to know the latest news about college and college life. Because after high school and be on my way to pursuing a nursing career make the right choices.

My last 2 blogs are about nursing, because in the future i really want to become a nurse and i want to be interested and grow to learn and love it. So in the future if i do become a nurse i know now that i can have a passion for it

Education

 education in America is valuable? Why? To what extent do you think education is valuable in your own life? Explain. Use what you read and what you heard in class to support your response.

Education is valuable because most people struggle through poverty because lack of education.  Education benefits your life because it helps you get a good job and good living for the future.  It gets you where you want to be in life. For instance Huey P. Newton from the black panthers party first started of getting kicked out of high school and going to jail, but he self taught himself and became successful and was a big part in the civil rights movement.  So you cant really go anywhere without an education.
Education is valuable in my own life because it will guide me to pursue what i want to be in the future. And it will help me reach my goal which is to be able to provide in the future. With the responses from the things i heard in class it, what i got from it is that you have to be independent and motivated to be successful. You cant just expect your professor or teacher to teach in the way your comfortable with. You have to be selfless and ready to learn. Its your education, its your life, and what do you want to do with it? Education in my perspective now then what i thought before, it goes beyond extent its truly important in your life.  Education is knowledge, knowledge is power. I think that knowledge and your education is just only in the class room. Its every where in life, you have to apply to your. For instance, how are you going to survive in the wilderness with no food or shelter? How are you supposed to drive a plane when the captain dies? How are you supposed to solve a math problem to disable a bomb? How are you going to find your way around if you don't know how to read a map? Or know the chemicals in a substance? Education goes a lot to the everyday things in life. 

"I Just Want to be Successful"- Drake Graham

Welcome bloggers, my name is Kevyn Lorenzana and im finally a senior now at South city High. Its sad because its my last year of high school, last year to open a locker, mess around in class with class mates, last year walking into stinky bathrooms, playing ball during lunch, going to detention, going to rally's, jamming out and kickn' it with friends and just being  17-18. Its sad, yet exciting just because i want to make my family proud when i cross that stage. and starting a new chapter in my life. This senior year i want to "rock it", this is my year and my goal is to get straight A's for the FIRST time in the last 3 years of my high school career. My slogan for this year is "work hard, play later". With that, my expectation for this year is lots of projects, homework, essays, reading, and tons of studying. What im excited for this year is getting good grades, because my mom said she'll give me "hellaa" money and pay for my prom and i took her word for it. In addition to being excited, is senior project, which i want to do it on orthopedic surgeon or cardiovascular surgeon. Just because the anatomy is pretty interesting and with out a heart we wouldn't be alive. Also helping and saving lives is a heroic thing to do. We'll that's my perspective. What would i do if i was stranded on an island? What 3 items would i bring and why? ooh, that's a good question. But i would bring a bible because it'll keep me safe, and it'll probably help me find a way out. 2nd item i would bring, knife/rope for survival reasons, last would be girlfriend because 2 heads are better than one. But here you go, this is my first blog i hope you enjoyed it.
